The soul of Portuguese cooking

CISCO is the realised dream of chef Alexandre Albergaria Diniz. After a memorable turn on television, he opened in Almeirim with a simple idea: to serve honest, well-made traditional Portuguese food, just like home.

Ten years on, the house stays true to that beginning. Dishes are built on fresh produce and daily specials, cooked with time and care. From Almeirim’s emblematic Stone Soup to salt cod and slow-braised meats, every plate chases real flavour.

Recognition followed naturally: four consecutive years recommended by the MICHELIN Guide, a place in the Repsol Guide, and one of the region’s top ratings from those who visit us. Yet what we are proudest of is still a full room — and guests who want to come back.
